"Filter Failed" Print Error

Are there any updates to this recurring problem?

I'm using a MacPro (Early 2008) 2x2.8Ghz Quad-Core with an Epson 9900 printer. Won't work through Lightroom or Capture One when printing Sheets. Works fine on roll paper!

Any suggestions?

Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)
